Summer Art Market

We are really excited to be holding another Art Market here at Globe Arts, to help raise money for another very worthy cause! PUT THE DATE IN YOUR DIARY - Saturday 27th AUGUST, 11-3PM!!

Our last fundraising event, the Ukraine Art Market , was a huge success, with a grand total of £3375 going to The Disasters Emergency Committee.

Let’s see if we can beat that this time, and donate an even larger amount to our chosen charities; Huddersfield Mission & our very own Howard Asher Garden Gallery.

Sellers will choose whether they would like to donate 50% or 100% of their sales to the chosen charities. Globe Arts will not be taking any commission on sales of items submitted for this event.

The idea for this came from the first Advanced Life Drawing session of the June term, Jackie looked at the issue of Homelessness, after seeing 3 people on the streets of Huddersfield town centre that day.

It was a very moving class, and the drawings/paintings which emerged from the class brought lots of conversation and attention on social media, so we knew we wanted to try and help!

Huddersfield Mission; Based in Huddersfield town centre for over 100 years, this organisation helps those struggling with multiple and complex needs such as homelessness, mental health, addiction and more.
