Naturally Dye a silk lampshade with Kayleigh Davis, from ocre natural dye studio

WHO: Join Kayleigh, one of our studio holders and freelance artists, to naturally dye and make your own silk lampshade. Absolute beginners welcome, as well of those with some experience!

We only have 6 spaces available for this workshop, to ensure everyone gets enough time with Kayleigh.

WHAT: During this workshop, Kayleigh will give you a tour of her dye studio before you create your lampshade. You will then learn how to layer natural dye processes on habotai silk in Kayleigh’s signature style using a range of foraged and grown pigments before constructing your lampshade to take home.

All materials provided, you can bring a n apron along if you wish, but we have those too.

You will leave the workshop with one 20cm silk lampshade.

WHERE: Globe 2, screen print side of the teaching studio

WHEN: Saturday 19th September 10-3pm, 12-12.30pm for a lunch break. Please bring food with you, hot drinks and biscuits are provided.
