A playful and tactile introduction to hand building clay with pinch pots with Lauren our hand building tutor. In this session, students create their own chunky, whimsical creatures by shaping pinch pots and adding clay details. After building, they decorate with coloured slip or opt to return later for a glazing session to bring their creature to life with colour and personality.

💡 WHY

Pinch potting is an accessible, fun way to explore clay manipulation and form. Making a creature encourages imagination and personal expression. Coloured slip decoration introduces surface design techniques, while optional glazing lets students extend their creative process beyond the workshop.

£40 per person or 2 for £75

Includes all clay, slip colours, tools, and firing costs and refreshments.

Glazing session optional after the piece has been bisque fired, with additional session fee.
