This course is perfect for beginners wanting to extend their basic hand sewing skills to combine them with appliqué techniques and grow confidence

3 weeks - Wednesday 17th September until 1st October - 1-3pm

WHO: Tutor and artist Beverley Kendall will expertly guide you through the essential fundamentals of appliqué and hand stitching techniques, demonstrating the exciting possibilities of the artwork that you could create with these skills.

WHAT: Course will include…

• Cutting fabric shapes and using hand stitching to   secure them to a fabric base.

• Working with fabric and appliqué/reverse appliqué techniques.

• Making a small finished piece using all skills learned.

• Alongside the techniques we will also look at colour and composition basics when designing a stitched piece.

WHEN: Wednesdays 1-3pm, 17th September until 1st October
