Join us on Mondays for Intermediate/Advanced Drawing & Painting

WHAT: For the January term the we’ll be focusing on abstracting the subject, whether that’s landscape, still life, urban cityscapes or holiday scenes. Each week takes a different aspect of painting:

Week 1 - design and composition.

Week 2 - mark making

Week 3 - colour and meaning

Week 4 - texture and collage

Week 5 - using simple printing

Week 6 - how to develop a personal language in paint.

Students are encouraged to bring their own source materials - photos or sketches - to work from.

WHO: Artist Geoff Chilton will be your tutor for this course - whilst being friendly and relaxed, Geoff will help you become open-minded to new techniques and encourage you to push artistic boundaries.

WHEN: Mondays, 10-12pm

HOW MUCH: £160 for 6 weeks (6 x 2 hour sessions)
