We’re looking forward to Print Day in May - Saturday 2nd May 2026.
Print Day in May is an annual event which celebrates the art and community of printmaking. On Print Day in May, tens of thousands of printmakers around the world make prints and share their experiences with others.
Join us and our fantastic team of Artist Printmakers for workshops, taster sessions and free demos.
Print Day in May is free entry, with taster sessions starting from just £5pp. There is something for the whole family to enjoy, no previous printing experience is needed.
ACTIVITIES & WORKSHOPS
Neoprene Printing with Lisa Stubbs - a fantastic taster with amazing results in just 30 minutes. Great for families, or anyone wanting to try something new! (£5 per person) Book 12.30-1pm or 1.30-2pm
Paper Stencil Printing - in this 1 hour taster we will learn to cut our own stencils, mix inks and create fantastic screen prints! Suitable for families or adults wanting a quick burst of creativity (£10 per person) Book 11-12pm or 2-3pm
Gelli Plate Printing with Mindful Maker- £60 or 2 for £100 - money from this is also going towards Curlew Action - we are celebrating all things Curlew for a month, read more about that here Book 10am-2pm
Join Jackie for 5 minute tasters, between 1-2pm, where you can help us print pre-cut lino pieces for our Print class examples, using our amazing Little John printing press, in G1!
Throwing on the wheel taster with Geoff Chilton- 2 hour taster for all abilities, 16+ only, £40pp Book 11-1pm
Paint a Pot! - family friendly sessions for ages 4+, £5pp deposit, pieces range from £9-35. 2 hour slots, Book 11-1pm or 1-3pm.
STALLS & OPEN STUDIOS
We will be showcasing the work of local artists and printmakers again this year, with a number of stalls across G1 & G2 buildings.
