Join David Preston for Pottery Throwing!

WHAT: Learn the exciting art of throwing on the potter's wheel. This course is aimed at intermediate learners.

You will develop the skills to throw your own pots in just a few weeks; learning how to centre the clay, open out the shape, pull up the walls and control the form. Your tutor will show you how to shape your piece, trim and neaten, then decorate with glazes before your creations are fired in the kiln.

You should come away with 3 masterpieces to take home, but please be aware that absolute beginners’ pieces are more likely to break during the bisque fire, so there is a chance that they might not survive!

WHO: David Preston will be your tutor for this course. David is an amazing local ceramicist who has lots of knowledge to share.

HOW MUCH: £160 for 6 weeks (6 x 2 hour sessions)
