Join us for Pottery Throwing on Friday evenings!
AUTUMN TERM - Friday 19th September until Friday 24th October
WINTER TERM - Friday 7th November until 19th December
WHAT: Learn the exciting art of throwing on the potter's wheel. This course is perfect for beginners and intermediates, where you will learn in a small intimate group to ensure you get the proper guidance and tuition needed.
You will develop the skills to throw your own pots in just a few weeks; learning how to centre the clay, open out the shape, pull up the walls and control the form. Your tutor will show you how to shape your piece, trim and neaten, then decorate with glazes before your creations are fired in the kiln.
You should come away with 3 masterpieces to take home, but please be aware that absolute beginners’ pieces are more likely to break during the bisque fire, so there is a chance that they might not survive!
WHO: Zoe Stainton will be teaching you for the course, this is aimed at absolute beginners and learners with a few months under their belt.
WHERE: Globe 2, Holme Mills, West Slaithwaite, HD7 6LS - Globe 2 is located behind Zapato, go through the green gates to the side of Zapato, turn right, and you'll see our signage under the canopy at the left.
WHEN: Fridays, 6 - 8pm
HOW MUCH: £160 for 6 weeks (6 x 2 hour sessions) - includes tuition, materials and refreshments. Please note that shorter/longer terms are priced accordingly
Looking for a different day? You can also join us on Wednesday evenings and Tuesday evenings.
Please note: If the course has less than 5 clients booked, there is a chance of the course being cancelled. For this reason, we recommend booking sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment. If the course is cancelled, we will offer a full refund or transfer to a similar course.
If you decide to cancel, we are unable to refund you, and instead will offer you a transfer if you give us 7 days notice.
