Saturday Throwing Taster Sessions @G2

  • Gobe 2 Unit 9a, Holme Mills, Marsden HD7 6LS United Kingdom (map)

Want to give pottery throwing a try?

If you want to try pottery throwing before booking a course, our fantastic ceramics tutors have Saturday afternoon taster sessions available. If you love it, how about booking a course with us? Use the buttons at the bottom of the page book a date and time that works for you!

WHAT: During this fun and laid back 2 hour taster, you will receive 3 balls of clay, and after a demo from the tutor - make your own small vases/ bowls.

2 of your thrown peieces will be chucked in the “bucket of doom” (if you watch Pottery Thrown Down, you’ll know what this is) and your best 1 can be kept, to be fired and clear glaze will be applied. This process takes up to 6 weeks, as it needs to dry, be bisque fired, then glaze fired.

WHEN: The taster is 2 hours long (11am-1pm) and then you will spend up to 15 minutes afterwards, helping clean down your wheel and tools with the tutor - found our next available dates below!

WHERE: Globe 2 - head through the big green gate just to the left of Zapato (by the small carpark) and follow our signage until you find the big orange ‘G’ sign

HOW MUCH: £40 per person, this includes your favourite piece getting fired and glazed too! (please note - if we have less than 5 people, this may be postponed and we’ll transfer you to the next session/refund you.)

8th November
13th December
17th January

Please note: If the course has less than 5 clients booked, there is a chance of the course being cancelled. For this reason, we recommend booking sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment. If the course is cancelled, we will offer a full refund or transfer to a similar course.

If you decide to cancel, we are unable to refund you, and instead will offer you a transfer if you give us 7 days notice.
